Hello there! Today I’m bringing to you Androgyny as a trend. You might say this has been around since 1966 when Yves Saint Laurent pioneered Le Smoking Tuxedo suit for women. Moving from regular LBDs and ruffles to well cut, leg lengthening, elegant pant suits for women, Yves Saint Laurent gave women the chance to wear pant suits and three piece suits traditionally worn by men of power and influence. In my opinion, Androgyny has been a rising trend ever since and has really never stopped and is not looking like it will anytime soon. Especially with the Gucci collection by new Creative Director, Alessandro Michele at the London Collections: Men(LCM) recently, featuring gender blurring influences from Mick Jagger, Androgyny is definitely here to stay.
You would most often see me dressed like this. Its a very simple, classic and comfortable look to pull off, not to mention warm. For a feminine touch, I’ve added the waist belt(but mainly because I love how smart it makes the outfit) as well as the gloves for a little extra oomph. Enjoy!
Oh and I tried to look tough in the photos.. Err epic fail lol ended up grinning in most
