Bonjour! So I flew into Paris this morning and OMG you cannot believe my excitement(yup! First time). I literally haven’t had any sleep in 48 hours but I’m as bubbly as ever which is very unlike me(such a grouch). I’ve walked miles, my big toes hurt, i can feel the burn in my calves but I just can’t stop. I love the wee cafés and restaurants in little unexpected corners but to be honest, it really reminds me of South Kensington(the architecture mainly). My flat is very vintage, located on the 6th floor, I have a pretty good view of everything going on in Gambetta. I’m usually a lover of modernist architecture and interiors when it comes to my accommodation but I love how this has thrown me out of my comfort zone. The flat is a nice size with huge french windows supplying a fabulous amount of daylight which leads to pseudo terraces, gracing the floor and table tops are potted plants, random books, mismatched furniture and warm and fuzzy throws. It is the perfect set up trust me! Very french(oh but how would i know? lol whatever). One major concern for me was the food, I was worried that it might be super bland and just generally not up my street( I love my traditional Nigerian dishes), so of course I brought some knorr cubes and Cameroonian pepper lol ain’t nobody tryna die of irritation here! However, the food was fantastic! After having a fab lunch of Ravioli, mushrooms and I’m guessing a cream cheese(they certainly do love their fromage), I headed down to the Centre Pompidou which my friend Ash was going on and on about lol. I’m usually not the gallery/museum type, like, I’d never go there on my own without a tutor literally dragging me there lol, but this museum was super exciting! I was drawn to it as soon as i entered and we went to see the Musée National D’Art Moderne. I could go on about this but I’d just let you see for yourself. Enjoy
And I’ve saved the best for last!
