Military Chic

Hello my lovelies!! It’s been way too long and I’ve missed you. I’ve been pretty MIA because I felt like I’ve been ‘half-arsing’ anything that has to do with my blog and my really close friends confirmed it too. This caused me to slightly withdraw and try to re-plan and manage my time more wisely with regards to my full-time work and blogging. Well, glad to say I’m back for good with some interesting content over the next few weeks 🙂 and I hope you find it interesting too. For those that follow me on Instagram, you’d know I’ve been in Paris for a few days and having an amazing time at that. Last year, I did a full on breakdown on what I got up to everyday, outfits etc. and you can see some of it here and here. I loved it so much, I just had to go back and now I feel like its a second, well third home (side eye) LOL. I’ve always wanted to do a shoot with the Tour Eiffel lurking in the background and me casually strutting across a ledge. I thought about this shoot so much because I needed a practical outfit for moving around but also something that could transition into something stylish. The night before, I was literally still standing in front of my wardrobe, clothes halfway out of the wardrobe and spilling out everywhere when I had a light bulb moment. I intended to take only my leather jacket on this trip and I thought, what if i put a belt over it? Military/Janet Jackson vibes maybe? And I thought it worked quite well. Then the major thing that’s always an issue came up.. Shoes! Lol, I never buy shoes and for every shoot, I’m literally always complaining to anyone who cares to listen “Why why why for the life of me do I not own black shoes? Why??”. Anyway, I ended up with these Khaki Missguided ones that looked quite alright in my opinion plus it was in line with the military vibe going on. What do you guys think?

And a very Happy Easter to you all! Off to Grandma’s for some yummy Frejon
