Hi lovelies, happy Sunday! I hope you’re all well and recharged for the week to come (probably not). If there’s anything I’ve discovered, its that stress and ‘tiredness’ is really a thing of the mind. Its really weird, the first thing i say when anyone asks me how i am is ‘Ugh I’m so tired’ even if i’ve had a really good night’s sleep but it just comes out by default. You might have seen my Instagram post a few days ago with a caption pertaining to dressing like a tramp because I’m basically running helter skelter. It may seem funny but its true, I wake up, I’m running into the bath, rushing to pack my lunch, rushing to find something to wear (which most times ends up being something i wear to sleep) and running out to the station because I’m literally about to miss my train. Where does it all end? I get back home, probably stare into space/Instagram for God know’s how long, shower, eat and before you know it, its time to sleep. The cycle starts again and even worse, I wake up more tired than I went to bed. And weekends? Something always comes up doesn’t it? I’m so selfish with my weekends these days its unreal. I just want to eat, watch series and sleep. Enough crying anyway, I’ve sort of developed a system that works for me and I know I’m not the only one with this challenge so I hope this helps someone.
I try to wakeup 30 minutes earlier than I need to(stop snoozing that alarm), do something for you; read your Bible, have a nice breakfast, watch some TV and who knows, you might even have enough time to put some makeup on. Little things like these can change the entire direction of your day. I try as much as possible to take my own lunch as its more economical and it just tastes 100 times better. So, cook over the weekend, and if possible pack them so you can just grab one from the fridge when its time to go. Lastly, but most importantly, this might sound silly or superficial but it works for me ; Look good. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’m in a good and can-do mood all day because I’ve made an effort to look nice. It’s psychological, it does something to your esteem, your carriage.
My my, what a rant?! Let’s talk about this jumpsuit! You guys know Culottes are my thing and so when I got a chance to select some pieces from the Quiz website, I had to have this jumpsuit. I may not usually go for a culotte jumpsuit I haven’t tried on but because this has a belt, I knew I could snatch that waist to perfection. I’m in such a chatty mood today, “snatch that waist to perfection”?? Lol. I wore this jumpsuit to church on last Sunday with a blazer over it and I’m always one for pieces that can be dressed up and down. I will definitely be re-rocking it to work this week, possibly with a white t-shirt inside and trainers. I hope you like it
