Hi lovelies! Its been a minute.. Life has been so awesome as well as hectic that I literally haven’t had the time to blog. If you don’t follow me on Instagram, basically, you should! Lol.. I update it more often than i do my blog and you can keep up with what I get up to on there.
The week before the last, I was in Milan for a few days and thought to share with you my five favourite things about the beautiful fashion capital. Its so refreshing to be in a city/country that you’ve never been before and I’m excited for many more to come.
When I travel, I’m always so fussed about getting the perfect pictures and capturing every moment without actually enjoying the moment. However, this time it was different as I made a conscious effort to just let go and it was the best decision ever. Also, I would usually do outfit posts by day but I thought to combine it with stuff I got up to and make it all into one post. I hope you like it
5. Architecture/Streets: What beautiful streets encompass Milano! Literally every side street has its own unique character. From little pizzerias to hidden gems that are gelato spots, I’ve never experienced such a rich culture in any of the very few places I’ve been. The architecture of course was stunning and very detailed, the windows and balconies beautifully decorated with plants. My favourite part- the buildings are mostly pastel coloured and it was like I was in my own little world of me.
4. Pizza, Pasta and Pancakes: Best Brunch Ever! I love a good brunch and this omelette was to die for- no lie. Now now, food will usually be number 1 but I didn’t really love some of the other things I had to eat if I’m being honest. I love spicy food and my tastebuds are very much accustomed to it so anything less tastes abit bland. Also, portion sizes were always tiny so I made a habit of topping up with the bread basket which was not a good idea lol. However, I did really enjoy the pasta and pizza… Especially the pasta. Shocking.
3. Gelato Loving: I’m not a big fan of regular ice cream but I LOVE gelato! Fragola, which is Strawberry 🙂 (and is probably the only Italian word that stuck), cookies and cream, mango.. You name it, I had it!
2. Shopping Experience: Via Monte Napoleone houses literally all the designer shops you can think of and the interiors were simply stunning! My favourites were Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada (which had a super cute showroom, lots of fur and pink). In that area alone, there were at least 5 Dolce & Gabbana stores housing all of the latest collections, everything beautifully crafted and very ornate. Unfortunately, it turns out i only have snapchat videos of a lot of the shops and not actual pictures.
How can you not twirl in front of a Valentino store?1. Duomo Di Milano: You must have guessed it! This was my absolute favourite thing about Milan. In all fairness, its probably the only proper tourist attraction. I have no words to describe it, its simply breathtaking. I do have a mini regret though which is that I would have loved to climb up the Duomo! (but this completely skipped my mind seeing as I can’t particularly think in temperatures above 28 degrees).
