Hi lovelies, I’m finally getting around to putting up my Marseille post in collaboration with Golden Tulip Euromed, Marseille. Marseille is a beautiful city in the South of France boasting of 300 days of sunshine in a year. It has the friendliest of people I’ve ever encountered in my life, it really can’t be put into words.

We landed in Marseille around 10am and were immediately overwhelmed by the kindness the people of Marseille received us with. We took a 25 minute coach ride from the airport to Marseille’s Station from which we took a taxi to The Golden Tulip!
It was only a 10 minute ride to the hotel which puts into perspective how central the hotel is. It is located just off what would be the most prestigious street in Marseille and opposite a huge shopping centre with pretty impressive architecture called Les Docks. There are also a few fabulous restaurants located around which are within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Our personal favourite was Il Duomo, a stunning Italian restaurant with the warmest staff and mahoosive portions. Don’t you just love the free bread baskets restaurants serve in France? It’s always the highlight of my meal!
Arriving at the Golden Tulip
The reception of the hotel is very beautifully laid out, comprising of curved walls and different arty features in every nook and corner. It has an amazing amount of natural light due to the orientation of the building and positioning of large glass walls. The overall feel is modern and vibrant.
My favourite part of the reception was the body care wall. Yep! Literally does what it says on the tin, a wall filled with shampoos, moisturisers etc. for the hotel guests to choose from.
We were welcomed very warmly by the staff at the reception who knew exactly who we were as soon as we stepped in. Check in was very swift and we were invited for lunch and drinks at the Golden Tulip food-truck with the lovely Laura, who is the Sales Manager at the hotel. The food truck is a lunch time delight which offers a wide selection of hot and cold meals. Fey and I had a yummy Prawn pad thai and Club sandwich.
Following lunch at the food truck, we went over to relax at the much anticipated terrace bar before heading out to tour the city. I’ve never seen the sky so blue, simply beautiful. There is also a gym and indoor swimming pool close to the terrace.
Our Suite x Service
Our Suite was huge! By the time we were back from the city, we were knackered. I had a very relaxing hot shower and dived into what felt like the most comfortable sheets ever. I don’t say this very often, but I slept like a baby. We had ordered room service for breakfast the night before and went out for a quick swim pre-breakfast. Breakfast came on time and as requested, it was delicious.
After breakfast, we went sight-seeing and returned to the hotel later that afternoon. We were offered a late checkout which was very convenient and hassle-free. I cannot stress enough how lovely and helpful the staff at the Golden Tulip were and if I were to visit Marseille again, I’d definitely be staying there. See more of the hotel here.
