Hi lovelies! As promised, I’m sharing all the photos from my amazing experience at the QO hotel. From the second we checked in, the QO staff and specifically a lovely lady called Yasmin (photographed below) were so helpful. We were given a brief introduction with some pretty interesting and not to mention impressive facts about the hotel. The hotel is very big on sustainability, waste reduction, recycling and all the good stuff. For example, the carpets are made from old fishing nets retrieved from the sea and there are no breakfast buffets to avoid food waste etc.
The hotel is located just 10 mins by metro to Amsterdam central station. The closest metro station is called Spaklerweg and is just 3 mins walk from the hotel. Trains are very frequent, I’d say at least every 5-6 mins to central. There’s also a massive McDonald’s just across from the hotel which is definitely good to know for those wavy nights or just some good old comfort food.
The hotel itself is massive! See for yourself 🙂
We were on the 30th floor so had a pretty good view of the city thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. The room was simply stunning! The decor was very modern and minimal, the entire room was controlled by the iPad provided- room temperature, lights, blinds, room service.
Service and Amenities
Can I just start with how much I enjoyed the food here? I ate a bit more than usual so that’s a good sign. The staff were also very polite and went out of their way to help us with various things. On our last day, the hotel was hosting a boozy brunch and we were lucky enough to be added to the list. The entire set up was so beautiful! Aesthetics were on a 100, shame we had to leave for the airport.
After looking at some of these photos, i’m sure you’re wondering what the cost per night is? You will be shocked to know how affordable it is for what it is. I stayed in the original deluxe room which is typically just under or around £200 per night!
I’d love to thank QO for a very pleasant stay, I had a swell time.
