Fascinating, Isn’t It?

Hi lovelies! I can’t believe I haven’t been here for 6 months.. wowza! I hope you’re all well. I’m not sure why I’ve been so mia but sometimes (well, for the last 6 months lol), I simply had nothing to say. I’ve been enjoying the simplicity of quick instagram outfit posts which are just so much easier because there’s no added pressure of having multiple ‘wise words’ to share.

There’s been a wave of crime lately in the UK and generally the world to be honest. I’ve noticed quite a few influencers I follow talking about how they’ve been robbed but I only really paid attention to this after it happened to me. Its very easy to see things on the news and still be totally oblivious because you believe it can never happen to you.

My phone was snatched off me in broad daylight about 3 weeks ago and I will honestly say it was the worst feeling ever. I felt violated on every level. I mean, how dare you take something that belongs to me, something I worked hard to pay for? Some will laugh and say that’s the world we live in but it is just disgusting.

In this super digital age, its scary how much sensitive information we have on our phones. I felt really lost without my phone- online banking, direct access to emails, my editing tools and every thing else used for my influencing work. Getting my information back was the most difficult thing from Sorting accounts, changing passwords, restoring my iCloud etc.

Shall I say the purpose of this post is to highlight how important insurance is? Lol. It was only after the drama that I remembered I had mobile phone insurance with my bank which obviously helped a great deal, I only had to pay £100 (annoying still but better than nothing) and I got a new phone sent through from the bank. I’ve never been one to insure anything, except when going on holiday but I’m all over it now. Insure everything but more importantly, please stay safe.

Now on a lighter note, it’s almost race season! I love playing dress up with pretty dresses and fascinators and hopefully this year I’ll finally attend a race. This fascinator in particular caught my eye because its not your basic one, yet its so simple. I’ll pop down links to this look at the bottom of this post. Suggestions on what you guys would like to see me talk about will be much appreciated, I have a few already from my last Q&A on instagram stories so will get started on that list first.

So sorry about you losing your phone. This behaviour truly is disgusting. On a lighter note, you look gorgeous and that fascinator is so pretty. Loving the style of these pics.

Awww ☹️. So sorry you got robbed. It is really a scary feeling. I got robbed in Lagos traffic once. I felt violated, then I was angry at myself for not fighting hard enough. I’m glad you are doing fine

Let me know what you think! x
